Sona Mohapatra Slams Bollywood: Singer Sona Mohapatra is very honest about her views and never hesitates to remove the malice of women in Bollywood. Recently, Singer gave his opinion on the debate about Hindi language. Many famous celebs of the industry have joined this debate. Sona said that there are some stars who ‘barely speak Hindi’ and it is shameful.
Speaking to India Today, Sona said, “I can say one thing, that I have seen RRR and Pushpa and I was literally jumping and dancing and ‘Phufa’ was making the crowd uncomfortable and I had a reaction. Salute to its effort, direction, casting, it was fantastic. It was great to see them embracing their culture. Although we have some incredible stars in Bollywood, I must say there are actors who can barely speak Hindi and that’s it. It’s a shame because as a Hindi film star, he should know the language. Indian culture is very strong in South films.”
After Kannada and Telugu blockbusters KGF and RRR overtook Bollywood this year, a debate broke out in the film industries. The matter became even more intense after Kichha Sudeep entered the debate about Hindi being called the national language. Directors from the south are making films that have a global presence. He also mentioned that Bollywood is now dubbing in Telugu and Tamil, but the success rate is less.
In a video, referring to the tremendous success of the film KGF: Chapter 2, Kicha Sudeep said, “Hindi is no longer a national language. They (Bollywood) are doing pan-India films today. They are struggling (to get success) by dubbing in Telugu and Tamil, but it is not happening. Today we are making films that are going everywhere.”
