Condemning the brutal murder of a tailor in Udaipur, Shri Ram Sena leader Pramod Muthalik on Wednesday said that Hindu society will not tolerate such acts of terror. He also demanded death penalty for the culprits involved in the murder. He also announced ‘I am Kanhaiya Lal’, ‘I am Nupur Sharma supporter’ campaigns.
Mutalik said, blood is boiling, there is anger in the Hindu society, they have not only killed Kanhaiya Lal but are killing and provoking the Hindu society.. it is too much.

He demanded that the central government should intervene as they have also threatened PM Modi and ensure that the people behind the incident are hanged. He said that Yuva Brigade, Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti, Shri Ram Sena and other Hindu organizations would jointly launch ‘I am Kanhaiya Lal’, ‘I am Nupur Sharma supporter’ campaign from Thursday.

BJP leaders demand strict punishment
Several state BJP leaders and ministers have condemned the killing and demanded strict punishment for the killers. Senior BJP leader and MLA KS Eshwarappa demanded a new law to give death penalty to those “involved in anti-national activities”.
Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra termed the killing as barbaric and inhuman and demanded maximum punishment for those arrested. He questioned the silence of the so-called intellectuals while blaming the Congress government in Rajasthan for the incident and asked whether they were now affected by bias.
Karnataka BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel demanded the dismissal of the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan.
Former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy termed the incident as a “monstrous act” aimed at suppressing freedom of expression and demanded the harshest punishment for the killers.
Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah said, “I strongly condemn the barbaric act of beheading an innocent person in Udaipur. No one can justify such cruelty and the perpetrators should be punished.”
