27 new patients have been found in Mohali and 29 in Ludhiana, which is called the financial capital of Punjab. Six MBBS students infected in Patiala
Corona has started increasing again in Patiala. On Sunday, a total of 19 people, including six MBBS students of Government Medical College, Patiala, have been infected. On Saturday, seven students of the medical college were found infected. Even before this, a student here was found infected. In this way, 14 students have been infected here so far.
Dr. Sumit Singh, District Epidemiologist of the Health Department told that all these are MBBS first year students, who live in the hostel itself. So far, about 45 samples have been taken from the medical college, out of which 14 students have been found infected so far. The college has been closed two days before the start of the holidays in view of the increasing cases of corona.
Some time ago four doctors including a senior resident doctor were found infected. The Health Department is on full alert and samples of students and staff who came in contact with the infected are being taken. The principal of the college, Dr. Harjinder Singh, denied that the college would be closed before the summer vacations.
