Police has arrested a young man who had done digital rape by identifying with the girl student living in the neighborhood with the family. He had also tried to rape the victim by threatening to defame the society. The victim tried to convince him several times but the accused did not deter from his antics. Eventually he had to file a police complaint. The arrested accused has been identified as Hardik, a resident of NIT.

This is the whole matter of the incident

On June 27, a 21-year-old girl had given a complaint to the police station Kotwali. In which she told that she lives in NIT, Faridabad and is a second year student in graduation. Preparing for CAT exam at Arithmetic Institute in Connaught Place, Delhi. His family shifted here in December 2018. The accused Hardik and his family live in front of their house. When they were newly arrived, their behavior as a neighbor was quite good for a month and a half. Slowly Hardik started talking to her and after that he started sending dirty messages to the girl. Not only this, the accused forcibly started pressurizing him to have a physical relationship. The accused started following her till the college and coaching center of the girl. He started threatening that if you tell this to anyone, he will get him defamed in the whole society.

Accused did digital rape, filed a case

The girl told the police that because of him she could neither concentrate on her studies nor was able to tell her parents about it. On June 12, the accused committed a digital rape. The girl slapped him while protesting, yet the accused did not deter from his antics. On the night of June 19, at around 8:00 pm, the accused came outside the girl’s house and started abusing her. Upset, the girl complained to the police. The police had registered a case against the accused under sections like sexual harassment, molestation, sending obscene messages, stalking, threatening etc. Police spokesman Sube Singh said that the accused Hardik was arrested and was produced before the court and sent to jail.
