High alert has also been issued in UP after the brutal murder of Nupur Sharma’s supporter in Udaipur, Rajasthan. At the same time, state DGP Devendra Singh Chauhan said that the policemen are continuously patrolling. Social media is also being monitored. He said that action would be taken against those posting provocative or provocative posts on social media.

Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that the police captains of all the districts have been instructed to remain alert. Foot patrolling and thorough checking has also been asked in the area.
He said that those trying to spoil the atmosphere in UP will be dealt with strictly. No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
