The accused did not get any work done, had made an excuse to give 50-50 lakh rupees to the higher officials from the amount given by the contractor.
A case of father and son grabbing Rs 1.11 crore from a Delhi contractor on the pretext of getting contracts in government departments has come to light. This game of cheating was done by sitting in Hotel Delight located on Neelam Bata Road. The cheating accused had made an excuse of two high officials sitting in Chandigarh for Rs 50 lakh each from the amount given to take the contractor into confidence. The Kotwali police has registered a case in this matter and is probing the allegations.
This is the whole case of cheating
In the complaint given to Kotwali Police, contractor Lalit Mittal, resident of Ranjit Nagar Commercial Complex, Delhi has said that he has a construction company in the name of M/s Harchand Das Gupta. He had met Pankaj Garg, a resident of Sector 15, about 5-6 years ago. Pankaj used to supply RC M to his company. Pankaj Garg said that his identity is with a person named RB Sharma. Sharma gets government work done. Pankaj Garg introduced me to RB Sharma. After that RB Sharma and his son Kuldeep Sharma started meeting from time to time.
Father-son pretended to get big work
The complainant says that RB Sharma and his son Kuldeep Sharma said that we can get you the work of government tender / building construction. RB Sharma used to keep a police employee with him as a gunman. One day RB Sharma called Delight Hotel to NIT and said that I will get you some work to bring money. JK Bhatia alias Bunty, Pankaj Garg, RB Sharma and son Kuldeep Sharma were already sitting in the hotel there. At the behest of the four accused, he gave Rs 1 crore 11 lakh to RB Sharma in lieu of getting the government contract. RB Sharma asked Pankaj Garg to give 50-50 lakh rupees out of these one crore rupees to the higher officials. Even after a long time, no work was found.
A tender was put in Charkhi Dadri
The complainant says that on the behest of both the father and son, a tender was placed for Charkhi Dadri. After that RB Sharma called at Shivakil Hotel Sector 17 Chandigarh and said that this room has been booked by some senior officer. I have a meeting with many big officials in this hotel. Whatever hindrance is in your work, I will get it removed. Your work will be done. But neither any work was done nor any government tender was received. Now the accused are not even giving the money back. Police have registered a case.
