In the meeting of District Development and Cardination Monitoring Committee, Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar said that Greater Faridabad is still included in the developing cities. There is potential for rapid development in this area in the coming times. In such a situation, an action plan for 2050 years should be planned for all the basic facilities including electricity infrastructure. Right now there is enough land here to build power house etc.
Haryana Urban Development Authority is ready to provide land for this. In such a situation, preparation should be done with long-term thinking. The minister also brainstormed on other ongoing development works in the city and said that the stalled development works should be completed on priority basis. He also expressed concern about the problem of water logging in the city during rains. He asked the officials of Municipal Corporation, Smart City, FMDA and NHAI to take all necessary steps so that the situation of water logging does not happen for a long time.
Blacklist the negligent contractor
The Union Minister of State asked the officials to blacklist and take strict action against the contractors who are lax in many ongoing construction works in the city. There should be no bias in this. It is the responsibility of the state government to provide facilities on time. The negligence of the contractors brings disrepute to the government.
More than 30 societies have been formed in Greater Faridabad
Let us inform that the construction work of societies is going on at a rapid pace in Greater Faridabad. At present, more than thirty societies are ready here. The population here is more than one lakh. Slowly the number of residents is increasing. Thus the demand for electricity will increase. There is still a power crisis in the societies here. The minister told the officials of the electricity department that preparations will have to be made by making a further strategy for the supply of electricity. The department should not plan for ten years but at least 25 or 50 years ahead with the plan of action so that there is no problem in the coming time.
Anger over smart road
The Union Minister of State expressed displeasure with the concerned officials regarding the delay in construction of Smart City Road from Sector 28 Badkhal Mor to Bypass Road at a cost of about 42 crores and directed to complete the work at the earliest. He said that the Municipal Corporation has already become a joke with its working style. This should not be the case with Smart City. A total of 1.69 km smart road is to be built. Its construction work started in the year 2019 but the road could not be built even in four years. MLA Narendra Gupta, MLA Neeraj Sharma and officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
