Four arrests have been made so far in this scam, scam contractor and chief engineer have already been arrested. Will inquire about the Vigilance scam by sitting all four face to face.
In the scam case of 50 crores without doing development work in the Municipal Corporation, the State Vigilance team registered an FIR against Raman Sharma and JE Deepak Kumar, the XENs of the Municipal Corporation, and arrested them late on Thursday evening. On Friday, both the accused were produced in the court from where they have been taken on three-day remand. During the remand, the first arrested contractor Satveer Singh and Chief Engineer DR Bhaskar can be interrogated about the disturbances in the five wards of Ballabhgarh.
Let us inform that on Thursday, the State Vigilance team had registered the second FIR against XEN Raman Sharma and JE Deepak Kumar in the case of disturbances in development works in 5 wards of Ballabhgarh. Both were arrested late in the evening. Chief Engineer DR Bhaskar and contractor Satveer Singh have already been arrested in this case. XEN Raman Sharma and JE Deepak Kumar had got anticipatory bail in the first FIR. But now the Vigilance has arrested both of them by registering the second FIR. Vigilance Additional SP Anil Kumar said that both the accused have been taken on remand for three days. He will be questioned in connection with the scam.
Raman Sharma was posted in Faridabad for most of the time
According to the municipal officials, XEN Raman Sharma remained posted in Faridabad for most of his job. In March 1986, he started his job as a JE. After 11 years, in June 1997, he became the SDO. After 13 years, on May 2010, he became XEN from SDO. Seven years later, in September 2017, the superintending engineer and the same year in October 2018, he was promoted to the chief engineer. While JE Deepak Kumar was a tubewell helper in the corporation. He was given the charge of JE by the then Chief Engineer DR Bhaskar.
