India defeated Ireland by four runs in a thrilling match in the second match of the two-match T20I series played in Dublin. Batting first, India had scored 225 for seven in 20 overs. Deepak Hooda scored 104 runs and Sanju Samson scored 77 runs. In reply, Ireland’s team could score 221 runs for five wickets in 20 overs.
Ireland needed 17 runs in the last over to win, but Umran Malik did not allow Ireland to make these runs. Ireland team could score 12 runs in the last over. With this win, India also won the two-match T20I series 2-0. India won the first T20 by seven wickets.
Hardik Pandya made a clean sweep of the opposition team in his first international series as captain. Deepak Hooda, who scored a century, was the Player of the Match and Player of the Series. He also played an unbeaten innings of 47 runs in the first T20.
