Residents said, the builders of Greater Faridabad are exploiting the people by ignoring the rules and regulations. No one is going to listen to the residents who are selling electricity cheaply from the electricity board and selling them at double the rate.

The people of Keyyan Heights Society, located in Greater Faridabad Sector-88, gheraoed the BPTP police station, accusing the builder of being arbitrarily. People say that the builder deducted Rs 2980 from their account without informing them. People complained against the builder but the police did not take any action yet. During this, the builder’s representatives had also reached the police station.

People allege that the builder is charging without any invoice. This has been going on for the last five years. The meters were taken out by the builder five days ago and a software has been fitted in it. For this software, Rs 2980 was deducted from the account of about 65 flat owners living in the society. People also allege that after buying electricity from the builder electricity board at the rate of 6.50 paise, they are being sold at the rate of Rs 13 per unit. People say that the builder has not even taken the connection for the society yet. The connection which was taken while forming the society, electricity is being sold to the people from the same connection. The commotion continued for a long time on Saturday. In the end the builder’s representative left without any conclusion. The residents warned that if the builder did not stop the arbitrariness, they would be forced to take to the streets.
