He told that the Municipal Corporation has empaneled more than 30 plumbers for this work. Any landlord can contact the plumber of his ward and prepare the file manually and get the connection. The corporation has also fixed a fee of Rs 200 for this. He said that right now people have a good chance. Instead of applying online, one can take the connection by preparing the file manually. Action will be taken after 15 days. People’s sewer and water connections will be cut. Along with this, an FIR will also be lodged against them.
4.50 lakh people are drinking free water
According to the municipal officials, according to the survey conducted by the private company, there are about six and a half lakh connections in the entire city. Of these, only 1.5 lakh connections are valid. That is, about 4.5 lakh water connections are illegal. People are drinking water for free. Due to this the Municipal Corporation is not earning any income.
